Now that summer has here, all of us who enjoy travelling have begun making plans for their summer holidays. You may have planned a beach vacation, a staycation, or perhaps a spontaneous trip to the mountains. However, now is the time to choose the location because travel costs on well-traveled routes are surging and a record-breaking number of people will be travelling in the summer of 2022.
London
Go to London on your subsequent summer vacation. There are many delightful things to do in London, such having a picnic in Hyde Park, visiting the gardens of Buckingham Palace (which are open to the public for 10 weeks in the summer), and sipping cocktails at the city's rooftop bars. Alternately, you can ride the London Eye, the largest observation wheel in all of Europe, to get a bird's-eye view of London's parks.
Heat waves do occasionally happen during these warmer months, despite the fact that temperatures normally range from the 70s to the 90s. If you are prepared to put up with some heat and the crowds that the season brings, your trip will be excellent.
PARIS
Summer, when daytime highs are in the 70s, is the best season to tour the City of Light. Enjoy a picnic in the Luxembourg Gardens or on the grassy area in front of the Eiffel Tower, eat outside at a café along the Champs-Élysées, and watch the throngs of people as they pass by the bustling Le Marais district. The only downsides are bigger crowds and more expensive hotels. Consider renting a vacation home to save money, and try to get to popular attractions like the Louvre early in the morning to avoid throngs of people.
BALI
Since it coincides with Bali's dry season, summer is a fantastic time to travel there. Additionally, daytime highs generally hover below 90 degrees. Summer weather is ideal for seeing the island's stunning landmarks, including as its beaches and outdoor temples, without running the risk of suffering from heatstroke. While you're here, make sure to stop by picturesque locations like the Tegallalang Rice Terrace and Nusa Penida, an alluring island off the southeast coast of Bali that is home to lush slopes and fantastic scuba diving.
BERMUDA
If all you want from your summer vacation is time at the beach, go to Bermuda. The warm Atlantic waters and sunny summer days make for ideal beach tanning and swimming. Summertime temperatures average in the 80s. The most popular beaches in Warwick Long Bay, Elbow, and Horseshoe Bay are great places to unwind along beautiful coastlines (the longest). Just remember to reserve time to check out the plethora of restaurants and stores on Front Street, Hamilton's main artery.
BEACH, CANNON
This undiscovered gem on Oregon's northwest coast comes alive in the summer. Whether you spend your time here relaxing on the roughly 4 miles of beautiful shoreline, hiking one of the town's cliffside paths, or snapping photos of Oregon's Haystack Rock, your visit will be one to remember. Come in June to participate in one of the most popular annual events, the Cannon Beach Sandcastle Contest, or come in July to celebrate Independence Day with a bonfire instead of fireworks.
Although there may be competition for space on the sand from other beachgoers, Cannon Beach's ideal weather and breathtaking coastal setting are unmatched.
